Description of Project:
TAP's Pathway Home program helps people in jails, prisons and Community Corrections Facilities (CCFs) return to their communities, find jobs, and avoid re-incarceration. Pathway Home supports participants every step of the way, from before release to a full year following.
Participants receive:
- Re-entry Planning: We help participants make a plan for when they return to the community.
- Career Development: We help participants prepare to find a job and make a career. We also provide training for select in-demand job fields.
- Mentoring and Coaching: We provide participants with advice and support to achieve their goals.
- Other Support: We can assist with the cost of job training, tools, work attire, temporary housing, transportation, communication supports, benefits coordination, obtaining IDs, and more.
Project Goals:
- Enroll 300 eligible participants
- Employment rate 2nd quarter after exit > 55%
- Employment rate 4th quarter after exit > 45%
- Median quarterly wage 2nd quarter after exit > $5,000
- For those in an education or training program > 65% achieve a measurable skills gain
- For those in an education and training program > 60% obtain a credential
- Occurrence of new criminal offence within 1 year > 23%
